| What is Ikebana Ware?
The inventor of Ikebana Ware, Mark Kuzio, has been a professional potter for over twenty-four years. Each piece is hand made in the Ikebana Ware studio that is located in Belfast, Maine.
Each Ikebana Ware serving dish incorporates a small cup into its design which holds the pin frog and into which water is placed to keep the flowers fresh. This simplified presentation takes the place of a typical flower vase, which typically requires a lot of plant material. By only using a few flower stems, you draw attention to the special flowers which you choose to present on your table or counter. Besides hors d'oeuvres, your Ikebana Ware server is ideally suited to hold fruit, cheese and crackers, candies, nuts, sushi, tapas and even sea shells and polished stones. When not used for food it makes a wonderful centerpiece for any table.
Each piece of Ikebana Ware is hand made with great care and each is one of a kind. When you order a particular piece, its photograph is removed from the web site, and another unique piece is then added. No two pieces of Ikebana Ware are ever the same.
